Biography

Miell has extensive experience in one-on-one tutoring, classroom instruction, curriculum development, and academic writing and editing. She has trained instructors across the country and contributed to several national test prep publications. She currently runs a college preparation course for Princeton University Preparatory Program and a GRE preparation course for Princeton University undergraduates. She has also worked with Opportunity Network in NYC, The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and Harlem Children's Zone. Miell grew up in central Connecticut, where she developed a keen passion for the sciences, novels, classical piano, and sports. Her diverse interests carried over into her undergraduate experience at Dartmouth College. Though a Brain Sciences major, Miell also studied art history (particularly early modernism), Greek and Roman epics, and Shakespeare. You may bump into Miell anywhere In the city– walking her goldendoodle along the Hudson, viewing the exhibitions at the MOMA, playing tennis in Fort Greene Park, attending all performances of the Brahms piano concertos, learning to make fresh pasta at ICE, or silently rooting for the Red Sox at Yankees Stadium. She also loves traveling abroad, experiencing global cuisine, and collecting watercolors from local artists at each of her destinations.
